4-Wheeling and ATVs
The Rifle area is home to great 4 Wheel Drive Trails. ATV enthusiasts will love the trails on the Roan Plateau and in the White River National Forest.
Please keep in mind that, in Colorado, we stay the trail! Help us protect our state, by “treading lightly” – leave a good impression and obey these common rules:
• Drive only on existing trails. Driving off roads or trails, may mean that you are crushing vegetation and disturbing the ground.
• Vehicles should not be wider than the route. Motorcycles (dirt bikes) may travel on single track trails. ATV’s and 4-Wheel Drive vehicles may use two-track roads and trails. Again, if the route is wider than the vehicle, you’re OK.

Trail maps are available year round at the Rifle Information Center. From the Super 8 head east on South Seventh Street and then proceed north through the roundabouts. You will see signs for the Information Center just north of the roundabouts.
