Rifle is home to the Rifle Creek Golf Course, an 18-hole championship course located in a stunning setting just south of Rifle Gap State park. The course is open to the public and also is home to a restaurant that overlooks the greens.
Within short driving distance of Rifle are courses in Battlement Mesa (Batlement Mesa Golf Club), New Castle (Lakota Canyon), Glenwood Springs (Glenwood Springs Golf Club) and Carbondale (River Valley Ranch).
