Super 8 Hotel - Rifle Colorado

Rifle Gap State Park

Stay at the Rifle Super 8 and then head out to Rifle Gap State Park! Located north of Rifle at the confluence of the three forks of Rifle Creek, Rifle Gap Reservoir offers boating, fishing, swimming, water-skiing and windsurfing in 350 acres of clear mountain-fed waters.

Rifle Gap Reservoir's dimensions lend themselves to water sports. The lake is long and narrow making it perfect for water-skiers, jet-skiers and power boaters. When the wind is right, Rifle Gap makes for great sailing and windsurfing. During the summer months, there is a popular swimming beach on the west side of the lake.

Fishing is also very popular at Rifle Gap. The Rifle Chamber of Commerce hosts a Ice Fishing Tournament each winter, and during the summer anglers fish from shore, boats and float tubes for rainbow and German brown trout, walleye, pike, smallmouth and largemouth bass and yellow perch.

A state parks pass is required in most parking areas and may be purchased at the main entrance to the park.
